Turnberry Avenue Ashfield And Wild Hill, Teversal - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving For Carriageway Patching Repair Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(TURNBERRY AVENUE, KIRKBY IN ASHFIELD AND WILD HILL, TEVERSAL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (A25-122)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Kirkby in Ashfield and Teversal in the District of Ashfield.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Turnberry Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield - For its entire length.
b. Wild Hill, Teversal - From its junction with Chesterfield Road, Huthwaite in an easterly direction for 1300 metres
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours until 15:30 hours only.
From Tuesday 30th September until Tuesday 14th October 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Turnberry Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield - No alternative route available.
b. Wild Hill, Teversal - Wild Hill - Mansfield Road - High Street - Alfreton Road - Newton Road - Main Street - Hall Lane - Crage Lane - Huthwaite Lane - Blackwell Road - Sutton Road - Huthwaite Road - Lammas Road - Priestsic Road - Stoneyford Road - High Street - Fackley Road - Tibshelf Road - Wild Hill and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 30th September 2025 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out carriageway patching repair works;
