Ellen Villa Road, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U2085, ELLEN VILLA ROAD, NEAR ARKLEBY) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U2085, Ellen Villa Road, near Arkleby, from a point approx. 890m north west of its junction with the U2086, extending in a north westerly direction for approx. 380m.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U2085 Ellen Villa Road, U2085, C2023, C2001, Gilcrux and U2086.

The Order will come into operation on 9 October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day between 0930 and 1530 hours, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
