THE A46 TRUNK ROAD (BUDBROOKE,

WARWICKSHIRE) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) has made an Order on the A46 trunk road, at Budbrooke, in the County of Warwickshire, to allow repair works to be carried out. The effect of the Order will be to –

(1)  impose a speed limit of 40 miles per hour on –

(a)  the A46 southbound carriageway from a point 100 metres southwest of the tip of the nosing at its junction with the exit slip road leading to the roundabout junction of the A4177, the A425 and the A46 slip roads, at Budbrooke (Budbrooke Roundabout), to a point 390 metres southwest of the tip of the nosing at its

junction with the entry slip road leading from Budbrooke Roundabout; and

(b)  the entry slip road leading to the southbound carriageway of the A46 from Budbrooke Roundabout, and

(2)  close the slip road described in (1)(b) above. The works are expected to start on Monday 29 September 2025 and continue for approximately for twelve days. The closures will be in operation overnight only between 20:00 hours and 06:00 hours. The speed restriction will be in operation for twenty-four hours per day, for the duration of the works. The Order will come into force on Monday 22nd September 2025.

Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority and ambulance purposes will be exempt from the speed restriction. Vehicles being used for special forces purposes will be exempt from the speed restriction. Vehicles being used in connection with the works or for winter maintenance purposes will be exempt from the closures.

Diversion routes via the B4115 Coventry Road and an alternative junction of the A46 will be signed.
