What is happening?

ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL

BALLATER – TEMPORARY CLOSURE

“The Aberdeenshire Council (Invercauld Road, Ballater – 22.09.25) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular traffic) Order, 2025” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

The order will operate from 22.09.25 for a period of 11 days and will prohibit any person from driving on Invercauld Road, Ballater from the junction with Braemar Road to number 2.

Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.

The temporary restriction is necessary in the interests of public safety to allow for water and electrical connection works to be carried out. An alternative route is available via Invercauld Road, Queen’s Road, Viewfield Road, Braemar Road and vice versa.
