NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Forehill, Ely & Forehill C140, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1373

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Forehill, Ely & Forehill C140, Ely as lies between No.35 & Lisle Lane.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Brays Ln; B1382; Lisle Ln & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/4/27 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17/10 & 29/10/25.

Willow Walk, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1642

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Willow Walk, Ely as lies between Nos.22 & 35. The alternative route for vehicles is via Willow Walk, Ely; Lisle Ln; Waterside & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate leaking pipe repair & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/10/25 & continue until these works have finished on the 5/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/10 & 8/10/25.

Ely Bridleway 25, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Use – Order 2025-1643

Is to stop any vehicle, cyclist, pedestrian & equestrian from proceeding along Ely Bridleway 25, Ely as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians & equestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/4/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3/10 & 17/11/25.

Lynn Road, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1640

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Lynn Road, Ely as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via Lynn Rd; Ely Street; High St; Crown Ln; Wellington St; Wisbech Rd; Wisbech Rd C319; A10; B1411; Cam Dn; Ely; Lynn Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 22:00hrs 3/10 & 06:00hrs 17/11/25 (weekends only).

Ely Road B1382, Queen Adelaide Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1647

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ely Road B1382, Queen Adelaide as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1382; B1411; A10; A1101; B1382 & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 22:00hrs 3/10 & 06:00hrs 17/11/25 (weekends only).

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 3/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 2/4/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 22:00hrs 3/10 & 06:00hrs 17/11/25 (weekends only).

East Fen Common, Soham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1666

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along East Fen Common, Soham as lies between Nos.22 & 24. The alternative route for vehicles is via A142; Fordham Rd; Brook Dam Ln; Paddock St C142 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water supply disconnection, replacement supply & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 15/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 14/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 15/10 & 17/10/25.

Back Lane, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1667

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Back Lane, Ely as lies between No.3 & rear of 50 Waterside. The alternative route for vehicles is via Quayside; Waterside; Broad St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate stop tap replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 31/10/25 & continue until these works have finished on the 30/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 31/10 & 4/11/25.

Ely Road A142, Sutton Temporary 40mph & 30mph Speed Limit – Order 2025-1658

Is to impose a 40mph & 30mph speed limit along Ely Road A142, Sutton as lies between B1381 & Witcham Toll Signs.

The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit and shall only apply at any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 25/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 24/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 25/10 & 26/10/25.

Hills Lane, Ely Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1724

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hills Lane, Ely as lies between Nos.4 & 8. The alternative route for vehicles is via Hills Ln, Ely; Fieldside; St Olivns Gny; West Fen Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate stop tap replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 2/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 1/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 2/10 & 6/10/25.

Hundred Foot Bank B1411, Little Downham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1735

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hundred Foot Bank B1411, Little Downham as lies between Engine Bungalow & Bates Drove A1101. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1101; A1044 B1411 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate stop tap replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 8/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 7/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 8/10 & 10/10/25.

Boys Grave Road, Chippenham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1748

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Boys Grave Road, Chippenham as lies between B1506 & Waterhall Farm.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A11; A1304; B1506 or B1506; B1085; A11. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications pole testing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/10/25 & continue until these works have finished on the 12/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs & 15:30hrs on 13/10/25.

Hall Barn Road, Isleham Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1799

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hall Barn Road, Isleham as lies between Temple Road & Fordham Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Temple Rd; Common Gate Drove; Delph Drove; Knaves Acre; B1104; Fordham Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 8/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 7/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 8/10 & 10/10/25.

Various Roads, East Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1838

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads, as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises on land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate carriageway surface treatment & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 1/10/25 & will continue until these works have finished or on the 31/3/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
