Various Roads, Birmingham - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic For Highway Maintenance Works
What is happening?
BIRMINGHAM CITY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, BIRMINGHAM) (22925) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Birmingham City Council have made an Order the effect of which will be;
(i) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along SELSTON ROAD, ASTON between its junction with Victoria Road and its junction with Hanover Close.
(ii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along STECHFORD ROAD, BROMFORD AND HODGE HILL between its junction with Stechford Lane and its junction with Bucklands End Lane.
(iii) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along LEA FORD ROAD, GLEBE FARM AND TILE CROSS between its junction with Wychbold Crescent and its junction with Bramblewoods.
(iv) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along MERE GREEN ROAD, MERE GREEN between its junction with Lichfield Road and its junction with Little Sutton Lane.
(v) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along ST JAMES ROAD, MERE GREEN between its junction with Mere Green Road and its junction with Tower Road.
(vi) to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the full lengths WILFORD GROVE and MORELAND CROFT, WALMLEY AND MINWORTH.
The temporary Order is required to enable highway maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by this Order will be signposted and access to frontages will be maintained as necessary.
These prohibitions shall apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
The Order will come into operation on 22nd September 2025 and will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
