Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ASHFORD AREA

 

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, ASHFORD) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS & STREET PARKING PLACES)

(CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2023 (AMENDMENT No.23) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the made Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions (DYL means double yellow lines “no waiting at any time” restrictions) on the following length of roads, in Ashford:-

BELLFLOWER RISE – DYL – (1) On both sides of the south junction with Honeysuckle Avenue for a distance of 11 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On both sides of the north junction with Honeysuckle Avenue for a distance of 8 metres in a westerly direction. DAISY PLACE – DYL – On the both sides from the junction with Honeysuckle Avenue to the junction with Hinxhill Road (except for in the parking laybys). HINXHILL ROAD  – DYL - On both sides from a point 51 north east of the junction with Honeysuckle Avenue to a point in line with the southern boundary of 1 Hinxhill Road (except for in the parking laybys). HONEYSUCKLE AVENUE – DYL On the East Side – (1) From its junction with Hythe Road for a distance of 71 metres in a northerly direction. (2) Between points 88 metres and 178 metres. (3) Between points 184 metres and 228 metres. (4) Between points 240 metres and 250 metres. (5) Between points 262 metres and 322 metres. (6) Between points 340 metres and 396 metres. (7) Between points 402 metres and 417 metres. (8) Between points 429 metres and 442 metres. (8) Between points 448 metres and 471 metres. (9) Between points 477 metres and 512 metres. (10) Between points 523 metres and 536 metres. (11) Between points 542 metres and 552 metres. (12) From a point 558 metres north of the junction with Hythe Road to the junction with Hinxhill Road.  HONEYSUCKLE AVENUE – DYL – On the West Side – (1) From the junction with Hythe Road for a distance of 111 metres in a northerly direction. (2) Between points 123 metres and 132 metres. (3) Between points 145 metres and 277 metres. (4) Between points 283 metres and 346 metres. (5) Between points 358 metres and 365 metres. (6) Between points 371 metres and 429 metres. (7) Between points 441 metres and 538 metres. (8) From a point between 544 metres north of the junction with Hythe Road to the junction with Hinxhill Road. LABURNUM LANE – DYL – On both sides of the junction with Honeysuckle Avenue for a distance of 9 metres in an easterly direction. LILY DRIVE – DYL – On both sides from the junction with Honeysuckle Avenue to the junction with Hinxhill Road (except for in the parking laybys) for its entire length. MALLOW ROAD – DYL – On the west side from the junction with Daisy Place for a distance of 8 meters in a south westerly direction. MARIGOLD DRIVE – DYL - On both siders from the junction with Honeysuckle Avenue for a distance of 9 metres in a westerly direction. STICHWORT LANE - DLY - On both sides from the junction with Honeysuckle Avenue for a distance of 9 metres in an easterly direction. TULIP DRIVE - DLY – (1) On both sides from the south junction with Honeysuckle Avenue for a distance of 9 metres in an easterly direction. (2) On both sides from the north junction with Honeysuckle Avenue for a distance of 7 metres in an easterly direction.  WELLINGTON CLOSE – DYL – On both sides from the junction with Honeysuckle Avenue for a distance of 14 metres in a south easterly direction.

The Order was made on 25 September 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 26 September 2025.

Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any statutory requirement to the Orders.

 

CANTERBURY AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, CANTERBURY)

(SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDTAION) ORDER 2023

(AMENDMENT No.17) ORDER 2025

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby propose to make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the Order will be to change the existing 30mph speed limit and implement a 20MPH speed limit on the following lengths of roads in Barham, Canterbury:

CHURCH LANE – From its junction with Rectory Lane for a distance of 266 metres in a southerly direction. RECTORY LANE – From its junction with The Street for a distance of 160 metres in an easterly direction. THE STREET –  From its junction with Valley Road to its junction with Rectory Lane.

DARTFORD AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, BOROUGH OF DARTFORD)

(VARIOUS TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT No.2) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council proposes to make the above named Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and of all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the Order would be to prohibit certain vehicles from entry into the following length of roads in Dartford:-

ALKERDEN LANE – (1) No right hand turn into Colyer Drive except for buses, cycles and authorised vehicles. (2) No left hand turn into Colyer Drive except for buses, cycles and authorised vehicles.  COLYER DRIVE – Install a bus gate for buses and cycles only from a point 22 metres south of its junction with Alkerden Lane for a distance of 100 metres in a southerly direction.

SWALE AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS) (BOROUGH OF SWALE)

(VARIOUS TRAFFIC MOVEMENTS) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT No.2) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and of Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to prohibit access to all vehicles over the width of 6 foot 6 inches on the following length of road in Ospringe, Swale:-

PORTERS LANE, PLUMFORD LANE and WILGATE GREEN ROAD – For their entire length.

The Order was made on 25 September 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 1 October 2025.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS, TONBRIDGE AND MALLING) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER

(AMENDMENT No.1) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

BOROUGH GREEN ROAD – DYL – (1) On both sides from the south connection to the roundabout with Ightham By-Pass and Dark Hill Road for a distance of 40 metres in a south westerly direction. (2) On both sides from the north connection to the roundabout with Ightham By-Pass and Dark Hill Road for a distance of 35 metres in a north easterly direction DARK HILL ROAD – DYL – (1) On the north east side from its junction with Borough Green Road for a distance of 369 metres in a southeasterly direction. (2) On the south west side from its roundabout junction with Borough Green Road for a distance of 51 metres in a south easterly then between points 91 and 121 metres, between points 161 and 191 metres, between points 251 metres and 281 metres and then between points 321 metres to the junction with Hazelbourne Avenue. (3) On the south west side from its junction with Hazelbourne Avenue for a distance of 15 metres in an easterly direction. IGHTHAM BY-PASS – DYL – On both sides from the roundabout connection with Borough Green Road and Dark Hill Road for a distance of 30 metres in a westerly direction. This order will also correct some errors found within the recent consolidation order.

The Order was made on 26 September 2025 and its provisions will come into effect on 26 September 2025.
