What is happening?

Temporary Closure Of C18, Broadoak
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along C18, BROADOAK, between its junction with B3162 and Mead Farm, a distance of approximately 3690 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 06 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 October 2025.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance works.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

JAN BRITTON, Executive Director for Place Services - Dorset Council, County Hall, Dorchester DT1 1XJ. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
Temporary Closure Of Clappentail Lane, Lyme Regis
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CLAPPENTAIL LANE, LYME REGIS between its junction with Portland Court and its junction with B3165, a distance of approximately 90 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 22 September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 03 October 2025.
This Order will enable SGN, safe access to carry out gas mains replacement.
A locally signed diversion route will be signed using; B3165 - Pound Road - A3052
