Dorset, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
Temporary Traffic Management Order Of Various Roads, Broadmayne
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 12 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11 November 2025.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface treatment works.
The effect of this Order will be:
[I] To impose temporary road closure on Rectory Road for its entirety [2] To impose temporary road closure on Bakers Paddock for its entirety [3] To impose temporary road closure on Broadmead for its entirety
[4] To impose temporary road closure on Osmington Drove for its entirety
[5] To impose temporary road closure on Woodlands for its entirety
[6] To impose temporary road closure on High Trees for its entirety
[7] To impose temporary clearway on Rectory for its entirety to prevent vehicles
from stopping except those associated with the works [8] To impose temporary clearway on Bakers Paddock for its entirety to prevent
vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works [9] To impose temporary clearway on Broadmead for its entirety to prevent vehicles
from stopping except those associated with the works [10] To impose temporary clearway on Osmington Drove for its entirety to prevent
vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works
[II] To impose temporary clearway on Woodlands for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works
[12] To impose temporary clearway on High Trees for its entirety to prevent vehicles
from stopping except those associated with the works Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council's vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

JAN BRITTON, Executive Director for Place Services - Dorset Council, County Hall, Dorchester DT1 1XJ. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
Temporary Closure Of Various Roads, Cerne Abbas
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along VARIOUS ROADS, CERNE ABBAS; Piddle Lane - Alton Road - Long Street - The Folly - Duck Street - Back Lane - Syding Road - Acreman Close - Abbey Court - Wills Lane The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 06 October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 05 December 2025. The works will be carried out in sections to allow for diversion routes.
This Order will enable Wessex Internet, safe access to carry out fibre cable installation.
Locally signed diversion routes will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections, where possible.
