Ranson Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving For Trenching Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(RANSON ROAD, CHILWELL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2025 (BX25-143)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Chilwell in the Borough of Broxtowe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Ranson Road, Chilwell - From its junction with Nottingham Road in a northerly direction for a distance of 68 metres.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From 08:00 hours on Monday 22nd September 2025
Until 23:59 hours on Saturday 26th August 2025 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. A6005 Nottingham Road - Swiney Way - Ranson Road and Vice versa
The Order will come into force on 22nd September and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable National Grid to carry out Trenching works for a new supply.
