NOTICE OF MAKING OF ARTICLE 4 DIRECTION TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015

Land at King Lane, Over Wallop, Stockbridge, Hampshire TEST VALLEY BOROUGH COUNCIL ("the Council") hereby give notice that:-

1. They have made a direction pursuant to Article 4(1) and paragraph 2 of Schedule 3 to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 ("the Order")

2. The Direction relates to land at King Lane, Over Wallop, Stockbridge, Hampshire, which is more particularly shown on the plan accompanying the Direction ("the land"), and its effect is that the permission granted by Article 3 of the Order does not apply to the following Class of development, namely Development within Class A of Part 2 to Schedule 2 of the Order, namely the erection, construction, maintenance, improvement or alteration of a gate, fence, wall or other means of enclosure

3. Any representations about the direction must be made not later than the end of the period of 28 days commencing on 18th September 2025 and sent to the Head of Planning and Building, Test Valley Borough Council, Beech Hurst, Weyhill Road, Andover, Hampshire SP10 3AJ, or email PlanningandBuilding@testvalley.gov.uk

4. A copy of the Direction and of the accompanying plan may be viewed at all reasonable hours at the Council's Offices at Beech Hurst, Weyhill Road, Andover, Hampshire.

5. The Direction is made pursuant to Article 4(1) and paragraph 2 of Schedule 3 to the Order and, accordingly, comes into force on the date that notice of it is first published or displayed. It will expire at the end of the period six months beginning with that date unless confirmed by the Council beforehand.

6. The Council consider that the land makes an important contribution to the landscape character of the area in which it is situated, and that the delineation of individual plots with gates, fences and the like would have a significant impact on that character when viewed from nearby view points. The resulting harm to the amenities of the area provides sufficient justification for the immediate coming into force of the Direction.

Dated this 10th September 2025
