THE HAMPSHIRE (MILDMAY STREET AND BATTERY HILL) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council made the above-mentioned Order on Tuesday 9th September 2025, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 122(1) and 122(2) of the Act, Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act, and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.

GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDERS:

The orders will, change 13 metres of permit parking bay to no waiting at any time which will improve the access to Nos. 18-34 Mildmay Street.

Order 1: Will introduce the restrictions specified in the schedules below and will amend The Hampshire (Various Roads, Winchester) (Parking Places And Restriction Of Waiting) (Controlled Zone) (No.2) Order 2012 (Variation No.13) Order 2017 with no change of substance save for the changes described as follows:

Order 2: Will amend The Hampshire (Various Roads, Winchester) (Parking Places And Restriction Of Waiting) (Controlled Zone) (No.2) Order 2012 (Variation No.15) Order 2019 to resolve anomalies and reflect the existing restrictions located on site with no change of substance save for the changes described as follows:

APPLICATION TO THE HIGH COURT:

Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements of the Act or of any relevant instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, by Friday 31st October 2025, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
