TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES – VARIOUS ROADS, COUNTYWIDE 2025 (No.36)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order in accordance with the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 S.14 because of works on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

DURATION OF ORDER:

from 15th September 2025 for a period of 18 months.

(This is the duration of the Order, not the works, which will vary according to technical requirements. Closure times and patterns will be indicated on site by appropriate traffic signs prior to works in progress.) Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while works are being carried out.

The roads listed in the resurfacing scheme are subject to the following Prohibition of Waiting for the duration of the works:

  • No Waiting At Any Time, both sides, for the lengths of road specified. All existing Parking and Waiting restrictions in these lengths of road are suspended.

  • Subject to the provision hereto when a vehicle is left in contravention of the parking provisions contained in this order a person authorised by the Council may remove the vehicle or arrange for it to be removed from that place. When a vehicle is waiting in a place as described in contravention of this order, a person authorised by the Council may alter or cause to be altered the position of the vehicle in order that its position shall comply with that parking provision.

  • Any person removing a vehicle or altering its position may do so by towing or driving the vehicle or in such other manner as he may think necessary and may take such measures in relation to the vehicle as necessary to enable its removal or to alter its position, as the case may be.

  • When a person authorised by the Council removes or makes arrangements for the removal of a vehicle, he shall make such arrangements as may be reasonably necessary for the safe custody of the vehicle.
