Mill Lane, Woodhouse Park Ward - Temporary Prohibition Of Vehicular Traffic For Safe Pole Testing Work

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC145550309: The City of Manchester (Mill Lane, Woodhouse Park Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Mill Lane. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Wilmslow Road, Hale Circle, Hale Road, Wicker Lane, Park Road, Ashley Road, Cow Lane, Back Lane, Tanyard Lane, Castle Mill Lane, Mill Lane vice versa. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate underground and overhead works for safe pole testing work. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 6th October 2025 to the 9th October 2025. The order shall come into operation on the 6th October 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
