What is happening?

DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION
14(1)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make the following Order,


Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Temporary Closure of Cricket Meadow, Upper Gornal) Order 2025 the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding on Cricket Meadow, Upper Gornal, for the purpose of water main rehabilitation being carried out on or near the affected road. The order will come into operation on 6/10/25 and will remain in force until 1/11/25 or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The maximum duration of the order is 18 months. Traffic will be diverted via: Rock Street, Pale Street, Kent Street, Jews Lane, and vice versa.
Access to frontages and for emergency vehicles will be maintained where safe to do so.
