Parliament Street - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic For Pedestrians, Residents And Emergency Services Only

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC PARLIAMENT STREET, WELTON (PART)
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Parliament Street, Welton (between numbers 3 and 11) commencing Monday 6 October 2025 to excavate and repair a collapsed sewer in the Highway. The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 11 October 2025. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Welton Road, A63, South Lawn Way, Melton Bottom, East Dale Road and Welton Old Road. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will remain open for pedestrians, residents and emergency services only.
