What is happening?

C9K - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
“The Aberdeenshire Council (C9K – 23.09.25) (Temporary Closure to Vehicular Traffic) Order, 2025” has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.
The order will operate from 23.09.25 for a period of 7 days and will prohibit any vehicle from driving on the C9K from the B9120 Junction until Haughhead Cottages. Access will be provided for emergency and vehicles requiring access to properties but may be subject to delay until the road is cleared of construction plant to allow safe passage through the works.
The temporary closure is necessary in the interests of public safety due to the laying of a new duct. An alternative route is available via the B9120 – B966 – C9K and vice versa.
