ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U9524 WINDSOR DRIVE BLYTH

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9524 Windsor Drive Blyth from its junction with Balmoral Drive heading eastwards for a distance of 80 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 9th October 2025 until the 23rd October 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 9th October 2025 between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 during the above period; however, the order will remain in place until 23rd October 2025.

There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to carry out a CCTV survey on the sewer. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U6514 EIGHTH AVENUE AND MONKSEATON TERRACE NEWBIGGIN ROAD BACK LANE ASHINGTON

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 10th October 2025 until the 7th November 2025.

Road Closures

•  U6514 Eighth Avenue from a point at the gable end of 26 Richardson Street heading eastwards for a distance of 13 metres.

•  U6514 Monkseaton Terrace Newbiggin Road Back Lane from its eastward junction with Richardson Street heading westwards for a distance of 56 metres.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed on the 10th October 2025 between the hours of 09:00 and 16:00; however, the order will remain in place until 7th November 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the U6514, C401, B1334 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U9519 EAST DRIVE BLYTH

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9519 East Drive from its junction with Plessey Road heading southwards for a distance of 24 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 13th October 2025 until the 31st December 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 13th October 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00; however, the order will remain in place until 31st December 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Barras Avenue West, East Drive, South View, West Drive and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to install a gully due to flooding issues. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U6508 WOODHORN ROAD BACK ASHINGTON

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6508 Woodhorn Road Back Ashington from a point at the rear of 160 Woodhorn Road heading westwards and then southwards for a distance of 30 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective on the 10th October 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 10th October 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 13:30; however, the order will remain in place for the remainder of the day on the 10th October 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Woodhorn Road, Woodhorn Road Back and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to replace an unsafe manhole cover and frame. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U6575 CASTLE ISLAND WAY ASHINGTON

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER)  ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily introduce parking restrictions on that section of the U6575 Castle Island Way Ashington as described below:-

No Parking, No Loading and No Waiting At Any Time Parking Restriction

• On that section of the U6575 Castle Island Way Ashington from 65 metres westwards of its junction with North Seaton Colliery Road Ashington heading westwards for a distance of 600 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 13th October 2025 until the 13th February 2026.

It is expected the parking restrictions will be in place from the 13th October 2025 until the 16th January 2026 and that the restrictions will be in place at all times during this period.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

C410 PRINCESS LOUISE ROAD BLYTH

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (ORDER NO 2) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C410 Princess Louise Road on its eastbound carriageway only from its junction with Broadway Back Lane heading eastwards for a distance of 40 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 28th September 2025 until the 26th October 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 28th September 2025 between the hours of 09:30 and 23:00; however, the order will remain in place until 26th October 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the C410, B1523 and A193 and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to replace a temporary reinstatement with a permanent reinstatement. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

SYCAMORE STREET AND ELDER SQUARE ASHINGTON

(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURES) ORDER NO 4 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 25th September 2025 until the 14th November 2025.

Footway Closures

•  U6522 Sycamore Street from its junction with U6513 Sixth Avenue heading in a southward direction for a distance of 104 metres.

It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 25th September 2025 until the 8th October 2025 the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 14th November 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U6513, U6522 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

•  U6522 Elder Square from its junction with U6703 Hawthorn Road heading in a south westward direction for its entire length. It is expected that the footway will only be closed from the 25th September 2025 until the 8th October 2025 the footway will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 14th November 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via U6522, U6703 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by United Living to install one way duct with tobies to connect new customers to Fibre broadband. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U9561 CRAMLINGTON TOWN CENTRE CYCLE TRACK SOUTH CRAMLINGTON 

(TEMPORARY CYCLE TRACK CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by pedestrian traffic and cyclist traffic on that section of the U9561 Cramlington Town Centre Cycle Track South on its southbound ramp only from its junction with U9561 Cramlington Town Centre Footway heading northwards for a distance of 38 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 30th September 2025 until the 30th March 2026.

It is expected that the cycle track will only be closed from the 30th September 2025 until the 1st October 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 daily during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th March 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via Cramlington Town Centre Cycle Track South using the underpass, Forum Way and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

A192 AND A1061 MULTIPLE ROADS CRAMLINGTON AND BLYTH 

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) (ORDER NO 2) 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 22nd September 2025 until the 22nd March 2026.

Road Closures

A192 Laverock Hall To Horton, Cramlington for its entire length. A192 Laverock Roundabout, Cramlington for its entire length. A1061 Laverock Roundabout To Shankhouse Roundabout, Cramlington for its entire length. A1061 Shankhouse Roundabout To Laverock Roundabout, Cramlington for its entire length. A1061 Laverock Hall Road, Blyth for its entire length.

It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 26th September 2025 until the 3rd October 2025 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 nightly during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 22nd March 2026.

The following alternative routes will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force:

Via the A189, A193, A1061 and vice-versa. Via the A1061, A193, A190, A192 and vice-versa. Via the A189 and B1326. Via the B1326, B1505 and A189. Via the B1505, A189 and vice-versa.

Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

U6510 STATION ROAD BACK ASHINGTON

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6510 Station Road Back Ashington from its junction with John Street heading eastwards for a distance of 160 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 29th September 2025 until the 17th October 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 29th September 2025 until the 3rd October 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 17th October 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via John Street, West View and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16 A

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has made on the 11th September 2025 the Northumberland County Council (Blyth Celebrates Luminarium 2025) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025 (“the TTRO”).

The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Blyth Celebrates Luminarium 2025 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the U9503 Market Street for it’s entire length and the U9503 Church Street from it’s junction with Waterloo Road heading northwards for a distance of 58 metres in Blyth (“the Road”).

The TTRO shall come into force at 7:00 hours on the 23rd October 2025 and will remain in force until 17:00 hours on the 29th October 2025, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act.

There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.

Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:

a.  Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;

b.  Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.

c.  Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;

d.  Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road);

e.  Vehicular access to premises situated on or adjacent to the Road will be maintained at all times via the back lane to Market Street; or

f.  Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made the above-named Order under Sections 1, 2, 3 and 4 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order, which will come into force on the 22nd September 2025, will be to introduce a one way only system to vehicles on the following lengths of highways in Blyth in the County of Northumberland:-
