Temporary Closure of Pound Orchard
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Pound Orchard - from the junction with Mark Herniman Hill, westwards for a total distance of 25 metres.
This Order will enable Network Plus to connect an overhead line to the underground infrastructure on behalf of National Grid. The Order becomes effective on 10th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 13th October 2025 and last until 17th October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days.There is no alternative route for this closure.
