What is happening?
REDCAR AND CLEVELAND BOROUGH COUNCIL
A1085 TRUNK ROAD, TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF CYCLING, DRIVING AND PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2025
Not less than 7 days here from the Council intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended because works are being or are proposed to be executed near the length of footway, cycleway and road specified in the Schedule below.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along the footway, cycleway and carriageway specified in the Schedule below and to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in the lengths of road specified in the aforementioned schedule. Signed diversions will be in operation.
The Order will come into operation on 26.9.25 and remain in operation for a maximum period of 18 months although the works are expected to be completed within 4 months.
SCHEDULE
A1085 Trunk Road Dormanstown between Steel House roundabout & Kirkleatham Lane Redcar, including all junctions therein
Westbound cycleway and footway closure – 26.9.25 for 2 weeks
Eastbound cycleway and footway closure – 6.10.25 for 5 weeks Overnight road closures from 15.12.25 for 5 nights, 18:00 hours to 05:30 hours.
Ennis Road at its junction with A1085 Trunk Road Dormanstown 26.9.25-19.12.25
