Sea Lane, Kilve, Somerset - Temporary closure due to water works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Sea Lane 
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Sea Lane - from 100 metres north of the junction with Millands Lane, northwards for a total distance of 114 metres.
This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out chamber installation works. The Order becomes effective on 10th October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 13th October 2025 and last until 17th October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 5 days. Statement of Reasons for making the Order 
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; or b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
