What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM

(GORDON ROAD, DAGENHAM)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE OF INTENT

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate sewer pipe survey and maintenance works, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham intends to make a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Tuesday 14 October 2025. The works expected for:

• Sewer pipe survey and maintenance works to take 2 days to complete. Completion date estimated as Wednesday 15 October 2025 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 8.00pm on Tuesday 14 October 2025 to 5.00am on Wednesday 15 October 2025.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily: –

• Prohibit all vehicular traffic on Gordon Road, both sides, at its junction with High Road.

• Prohibit all vehicular traffic (except for access by Marshalls) on Gordon Road, both sides, from its junction with Forsters Close to its junction with High Road.

Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:

• Via High Road, Albany Road, Whalebone Grove and Vice versa.
