LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH) (REVOCATION
AND VARIOUS PARKING RESTRICTIONS (25-26 NO2A)) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the
above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule
9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be
to:
1) Revoke the following:
a) The "Lancashire County Council (Burnley Borough Area) (On Street Parking
Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Consolidation Order 2009" insofar
as it relates to:
i. Items (212)a), (212)b)(iii) and (212)c) of Schedule 10.01;
ii. Item (16) of Schedule 11.087;
iii. Item (7) of Schedule 12.049.
b) The "Lancashire County Council (Burnley Borough Area) (Prohibition of Stopping
on School Entrance Markings) Order 2010" insofar as it relates to Item 28 of the
Schedule.
c) "The Lancashire County Council (Borough of Burnley) (Top O Town) (Residents
Only Parking) Traffic Regulation Order 2003" insofar as it relates to Item 18. of
Schedule 5.
2) Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Cobden Street, Briercliffe, the south west side, from a point 10 metres south-east
of its junction with the centreline of New Taylor Fold for a distance of 20 metres
in a north-westerly direction;
b) Manchester Road, Habergham Eaves, the east side, from a point 14 metres south of
its junction with the centreline of Apex Close for a distance of 44 metres in a
northerly direction;
c) New Taylor Fold, Briercliffe, both sides, from its junction with the centreline of
Cobden Street for a distance of 11 metres in a south-westerly direction;
d) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the north side, from a point 100.5 metres east of its
junction with the centreline of Belvedere Road for a distance of 28 metres in an
easterly direction;
e) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the north side, from its junction with the centreline of
Belvedere Road for a distance of 46.5 metres in an easterly direction;
f) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the north side, from a point 358 metres east of its
junction with the centreline of Belvedere Road to its junction with the centreline of
Queens Park Road;
g) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the north and north west side, from its junction with the
centreline of Belvedere Road for a distance of 280 metres in a general southwesterly direction;
h) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the north east side, from a point 176 metres east of its
junction with the centreline of Belvedere Road for a distance of 20 metres in an
easterly direction;
i) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the south side, from a point 369.5 metres east of its
junction with the centreline of Belvedere Road to its junction with the centreline of
Aspen Drive;
j) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the south side, from a point 212.5 metres east of its
junction with the centreline of Belvedere Road for a distance of 19 metres in an
easterly direction;
k) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the south side, from its junction with the centreline of
Belvedere Road for a distance of 169 metres in an easterly direction.
3) Introduce a prohibition of loading in Brown Street, Burnley, the east side, from its
junction with the centreline of Brick Street for a distance of 35 metres in a
northerly direction.
4) Introduce a prohibition of stopping on entrance markings at any time in the
following lengths of road:
a) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the north side, from a point 71 metres east of its junction
with the centreline of Belvedere Road for a distance of 29.5 metres in an easterly
direction;
b) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the south side, from a point 71 metres east of its junction
with the centreline of Belvedere Road for a distance of 29.5 metres in an easterly
direction.
5) Introduce a prohibition of stopping on school entrance markings Monday to Friday
between 8am and 6pm in the following lengths of road:
a) Darnley Street, Burnley, the south east side, from a point 43.5 metres south-west
of its junction with the centreline of Morse Street for a distance of 25.56 metres in
a south-westerly direction;
b) Ormerod Road, Burnley, the south side, from a point 169 metres east of its
junction with the centreline of Belvedere Road for a distance of 43.56 metres in an
easterly direction.
6) Introduce a restriction of waiting Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm in
Ormerod Road, Burnley, the south side, from a point 231.5 metres east of its
junction with the centreline of Belvedere Road for a distance of 138 metres in an
easterly direction.
7) Introduce a limited waiting parking place for 40 minutes with no return within 40
minutes between 8am and 6pm in Cooper Street, Burnley, the east side, from a
point 49 metres south of its junction with the centreline of Finsley Gate for a
distance of 44 metres in a southerly direction.
A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order
may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Burnley Borough
Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 9SA and at the offices of The
Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall,
Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website

grounds on which they are made) relating to the proposal must be made in writing and
