(Consolidation) Order 2022 (Variation No. 21) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council propose to make an order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of which will be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022 to include parking restrictions in several areas of North Somerset. The extent of the proposals are described in the Schedule to this notice.

Any objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. All representations received may be considered in public by the council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.

Schedule - Part 3: Prohibition and Restriction or Waiting, Stopping, Loading and Unloading - Parking Restrictions - Abbots Leigh, Manor Road, extend double yellow lines at the bellmouth on the south side by one car length and install double yellow lines opposite the driveway of Applehazel (map 5). Backwell, Moorfield Road extend the existing yellow lines on the south side by 6m (map 11). Banwell, Littlefields Rise, double yellow lines around the bellmouth (map 26). Barrow Gurney, A38 Layby Bridge Cottage, install a parking bay limiting waiting to 2 hours (map 12). Blagdon, Eastcott, double yellow lines around the bellmouth and up to the library bay (map 28). Garston Lane, double yellow lines on the inside of the bends (map 25). Burrington, The Batch/A368, double yellow lines either side of the road and the bay and make the bay 24/7 (map 24). Clevedon, Lower Queens Road, remove taxi bay and single yellow line replace with double yellow line (map 9). Long Ashton, Long Ashton Road, double yellow lines around the access of Bourton Mead (Map 10). Bridge Road, remove the 15 minute bay and replace with Business Bay (map 6). Pill, Macrae Road, remove double yellow lines and install single 8-5 Wed- Thurs, map 4. Mount Pleasant, install double yellow lines outside the church (map 3). Friendly Row, double yellow lines around the junction, Lower Myrtle Hill, install double yellow lines adjacent to The Duke of Cornwall Public House (map 3). Portishead, Siskin Close, install double yellow lines to its junction with The Finches (Map 1). Brendon Road, extend double yellow lines around its junctions with Mendip Road, Mendip Road, install double yellow lines around its junctions with Polden and Quantock Roads (map 2). Winscombe, The Lynch, remove some of the existing parking bay (map 3). Weston-super-Mare, Alexandra Parade, convert a part of the layby to a Police Bay (map 19). Boulevard, amend hours of existing disabled bay and install double yellow lines adjacent to The Muse (map 19). Upper Kewstoke Road, remove approximately 12m of parking bay and replace with double yellow lines (map 18). The Rows, double yellow lines around the junction and at its junction with Coronation Road (map 16). Castle Road, double yellow lines in the road and at its junction with Lower Kewstoke Road (map 15). Bree Close, double yellow lines around its junction with Westmarch Way (map 14). Drove Road, amend time markings bay by the shop to 10 minutes between 8am and 10pm (map 23). Pawlett, double yellow lines around its junction with Dunster Crescent (map 27). Turnock Gardens, double yellow lines on two bends (map 29). Little Orchard, Uphill, fill in the gap in the double yellow lines (map 29). Moor Lane, double yellow lines around its junction with Vale Mill Way (map 20). St. George's, Saxon Court, double yellow lines around onw of the bends (map 17). Yatton, High Street, install no loading restrictions around the access to the school and install Police Bay in the layby, Chescombe Road, double yellow lines around its junction with The High Street (map 13).

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Old Street and Chapel Hill, Clevedon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 27 October 2025

Ref: T25-49

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of highway drainage maintenance works and will become operative on 27 October 2025, anticipated to be of 5 working days. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – Old Street, Clevedon and Chapel Hill, Clevedon from the junction with Marson Road to the junction with Parnell Road.

Alternative routes – Old Street, Clevedon - Old Street, Tickenham Road, Northern Way, Ettlingen Way Roundabout, Moor Lane, Kenn Road Roundabout, Great Western Road, The Triangle and vice-versa.

Chapel Hill, Clevedon - Chapel Hill, Lower Linden Road, Linden Road, Elton Road, Old Church Road, Great Western Road, Kenn Road, The Triangle and vice-versa.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Strode Road, Clevedon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 3 November 2025

Ref: SW25.26-150

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to Replace gas mains. This order will become operative on the 3 November 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 103 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Kimberley Road, Clevedon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 8 December 2025

Ref: SW25.26-151

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace 64.62m of old metallic gas mains with 64.62m of new plastic mains and renew 1 no. gas service pipe and one service pipe to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 8 December 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 12 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Churchill Avenue, Clevedon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2026

Date coming into Force: 5 January 2026

Ref: SW25.26-152

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to replace 153.31m of old metallic gas mains with 153.31 of new plastic mains and renew/ transfer approximately 19 service pipes to adjacent premises. This order will become operative on the 5 January 2026 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 19 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, has made the order, the effect of which:

Clevedon Lane, Clapton-in-Gordano, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 1 October 2025

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of carriageway patching and will become operative on 1 October 2025, anticipated to be of 3 working days. The maximum period for the closure is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – Clevedon Lane, Clapton-in-Gordano, entire extents from junction with B3124 to junction with Valley Lane. Alternative routes – Valley Lane, Moor Lane, Clevedon Road, Clapton Lane and vice-versa.

Down Road, Portishead, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 29 September 2025

Ref: T25-37

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of reason of carriageway patching and will become operative on 29 September 2025, anticipated to be of 2 working days. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – Down Road from junction with Charlcombe Rise to junction with Nore Road.

Alternative routes – Down Road, Weatherly Drive, Valley Road, Clevedon Road, Walton Street, Walton Down, Coast Road, Walton Bay.

The Portbury Hundreds, Portbury, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 29 September 2025

Ref: T25-41

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of site investigation works and will become operative on 29 September 2025, anticipated to be of 15 working nights. The working hours will be 9pm to 5am. The maximum period for the closures is eighteen months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – The Portbury Hundreds entire extents.

Alternative routes – Portbury Lane, Bristol Road, Clevedon Road, Walton Road, Tickenham Road, Tickenham Hill, West Hill, Beggar Bush Lane, Abbots Leigh Road, A369 Rownham Hill, Martcombe Road, Portbury Road, St Georges Hill, A369 Junction 19 Interchange and vice-versa.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, has made the order.

Sheepway, Portbury, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 3 October 2025

Ref: SW25.26-083

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This order will become operative on the 3 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into Force: 4 October 2025

Ref: SW25.26-096

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to connect new water with cut off. This order will become operative on the 4 October 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
