The Cornwall Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) The County of Cornwall (Fore Street, Customs House Hill, North Street, Passage Street, Station Road, Fowey) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Fowey. This prohibition is necessary for gas connection works and it is expected that the closure will be from 6th October 2025 for one day. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only. Road affected - Fore Street, Customs House Hill, North Street, Passage Street, Station Road, Fowey from junction with Access To Slipways From Station Road to junction with South Street. This prohibition is necessary for installation of Openreach infrastructure and it is expected that the closure will be from 8th October 2025 to 9th October 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 2200 and 0600, weekdays only. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council intends to make the above Order in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned lengths of road in Lostwithiel. This prohibition is necessary for principal road maintenance and gully emptying works and it is expected that the closure will be from 22nd October 2025 to 25th October 2025. The prohibition will be in force between the hours of 1900 and 0600, weekends included. Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to temporarily prohibit the use by traffic of the undermentioned length of road in Lostwithiel. This prohibition is necessary for build out repairs on Respryn Bridge and it is expected that the closure will be from 6th October 2025 to 10th October 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekdays only. The Cornwall Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to prohibit the use by traffic over an area of highway being Footway at Cobbs Well, Fowey. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed due to storm damage. The Order will come into operation on 23rd September 2025 and the works are expected to be completed by the 5th December 2025. The prohibition will be in force 24 hours a day, weekends included. The road was previously closed for reasons of public safety by notice under Section 14(2) of the RTRA 1984 from the 2nd September 2025 for a period of 21 days. Nothing in this Order will apply to traffic associated with the works required within the highway specified above, any vehicle being used for the purposes of an undertaker in an emergency, such as loss of utility supplies and anything done with the permission of or at the discretion of a police officer. The Cornwall Council Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (RTRA 1984) Temporary Speed Restriction Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 22nd September 2025 in exercise of its powers under section 14(1) of the RTRA 1984 to impose a temporary speed restriction of 40 MPH over an area of highway being B3253 From Junction South Of Cleese Farm To St Martins Road, St Martin between grid references SX 26361 55564 and SX 26640 55905 for approximately 450 metres. The Council is satisfied that the Order is needed because pole replacement and renewal works are being executed on or near the road. The Order will come into operation on 8th October 2025 and the works are expected to be completed by the 9th October 2025. The restriction will be in force between the hours of 0930 and 1530 on a daily basis, weekdays only.
