(PUBLIC FOOTPATH No. 54 PENISTONE)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
The above-named Order, made on 10th September 2025 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert part of public footpath no 54 Penistone which commences at a point 337 metres north east of its junction with Folly Lane, Thurlstone (SE 2286/0485) and proceeds north east for a distance of 77 metres (SE 2291/0491) then proceeds south east for a distance of 11 metres (SE 2292/0490) onto a new line commencing at the same point 337 metres north east of its junction with Folly Lane aforesaid and proceeds south east for a distance of 6 metres (SE 2287/0484) then north east for a distance of 80 metres (SE 2292/0490) as shown on the Order map.
A copy of the Order and map may be viewed on the Council’s website.
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing either by email to publicrightsofway@barnsley.gov.uk or by post addressed to the Law & Governance, PO Box 634 Barnsley S70 9GG not later than 17th October 2025 quoting reference PCD/JS/1967. Please state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will also be sent.
