BARNSLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BARNSLEY
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH No. 19 STAINBOROUGH)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
The above-named Order, made on 10th September 2025 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert part of public footpath no 19 Stainborough which commences at its junction with Bagger Wood Road (SE 3021/0228) and proceeds south east for a distance of 130 metres (SE 3032/0222) onto a new line commencing at the same point with its junction with Bagger Wood Road aforesaid and proceeds south south east for a distance of 60 metres (SE 3024/0223) then east for a distance of 80 metres (SE 3032/0222) as shown on the Order map. 

A copy of the Order and map may be viewed on the Council’s website. 

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing either by email to publicrightsofway@barnsley.gov.uk or by post addressed to Law & Governance, PO Box 634 Barnsley S70 9GG not later than 17th October 2025 quoting reference PCD/JS/1975. Please state the grounds on which it is made. 

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Council may confirm the Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will also be sent.
