Temporary Closure of Mason Way, Churchill Road, Douglas Drive and Lockey Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Mason Way (11th October 2025 - 15th October 2025) - from the junction with Lockey Road to the junction with Norton Close; Churchill Road (11th October 2025 - 15th October 2025) - from the junction with Mason Way to the junction with Queens Road; Douglas Drive (12th October 2025 07:00 - 19:00) - from the junction with Lockey Road to the junction with Christopher Way and Lockey Road (12th October 2025 07:00 - 19:00) - from the junction with Kingsland Road to the junction with Westway Lane. A total distance of 1091 metres.
This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out phased micro resurfacing works on behalf of Somerset Highways.
The Order becomes effective on 2nd October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 11th October 2025 and last until 15th October 2025 between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 for a total of 5 days.
