Lowes Lane - Temporary Road Closure For Scanning On Topside Of Network Rail Structure

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE LOWES LANE, SWARKESTONE

WHEN: 29 September to 30 September 2025 (22:00 to 06:00).
WHERE: Lowes Lane, Swarkestone from its Jct. with A5132 Barrow Lane for an approx. distance of 340m north.
REASON: To facilitate scanning on topside of Network Rail structure.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A5132 Barrow Lane, Swarkestone Road, Sinfin Lane, Moor Lane, Lowes Lane and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
