What is happening?

LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(GLEN STREET, LANGROYD ROAD AND WINDY BANK, COLNE, PENDLE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND LEFT/RIGHT TURNS) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to turn right from Glen Street at its junction with A6068 North Valley Road.
2. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to turn right or to proceed in a southbound direction from Langroyd Road at its junction with A6068 Windsor Street.
3. No person shall cause any motor vehicle or cycle to turn right or to proceed in a northerly direction from Windy Bank at its junction with A6068 Windsor Street.
4. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
5. The prohibition will be operative from 2000 hours to 2200 hours on Monday 29th September 2025 or until completion of the works within this period.
6. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Emergency services access will be maintained whenever and wherever possible. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
7. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the prohibitions will be signed locally.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow manhole frame and cover repair works to be carried out.
