Definitive Map Modification Order 2025
The above Order, made on 15 January 2025, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way for the area, by recording a Footpath from an open junction with Rosley Street opposite Cotton Tree Inn. The route runs in a south south westerly direction along the full length of Bright Street and continues from the end of the street through a gap between stone gateposts partially restricted by wooden fecing and a wooden post with a gap sufficient for pedestrian access where a trodden path continues in a more west south westerly direction over rough grassland for a distance of 50 metres to pass through a gap between the end of a stone wall and end of a fence with a single post in the middle and then continues a short distance (3 metres) across a tarmac access road to the open junction with the adopted width of Trawden Road B6250.
The length of the route is 0.12 km.
A copy of the Order and the Order Map may also be seen free of charge at the offices of Pendle Borough Council, and at my offices from 9.00 and 17.00 on weekdays. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £1.00. A free digital copy of the Order may be requested by emailing
