NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after 7 days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which: 

Milton Footpath 2, Milton Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-557A 
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Milton Footpath 2, Milton as lies between Wildfowl Cottage & Cam Conservators. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. 
The proposed Order is in the interest of public safety due to structural integrity of the lock island & it will come into operation on 29/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 28/3/27 whichever is the earlier. 

Gilbert Road, Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-1595 
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane as lies between Nos.72 & 86. During the period this Order remains in force Order Title: The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993; Relevant wording: Schedule 23 Cycle Lane Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane. Gilbert Road on both sides of the carriageway from its junction with Histon Road to its junction with Milton Road is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas pipe repair & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 20/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 19/4/27 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Gilbert Road, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20/10 & 24/10/25. 

Access Road To Milton Road Park & Ride, Milton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1596 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Access Road To Milton Road Park & Ride, Milton as lies between Butt Lane C206 & A10. The alternative route for vehicles is via A10; Butt Ln C206. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new kerbs, new footways, footway resurfacing & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 17:00hrs & 05:00hrs 5/10 to 27/10/25. 

Ermine Street South, Papworth Everard Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1600 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ermine Street South, Papworth Everard as lies between Access Roads To Papworth Hospital & South Park Drive. The alternative route for vehicles is via Ermine St South, Papworth Everard; A1198; Ermine St North & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telegraph pole replacement & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 22/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 21/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs & 17:00hrs 22/10 & 23/10/25. 

Cambridge Road (B1049), Impington Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-1602 
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane as lies between Stapleton & Franklin Gardens. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993; Schedule 23 Cycle Lane Cambridge Road Impington – On both sides of the carriageway from its junction with Histon Road to its junction with Kings Hedges Road is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway & cycleway resurfacing, remedial kerbing & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 25/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 24/4/27 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Cambridge Road B1049, Impington are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs & 05:00hrs 25/10 to 2/11/25. 

High Street, Foxton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1614 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Foxton as lies between No.35 & Station. The alternative route for vehicles is via High St, Foxton; Shepreth Rd; A10; Station Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/10 & 10/10/25. 

Park Lane, Histon Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1632 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Park Lane, Histon as lies between Nos.2 & 16. The alternative route for vehicles is via School Hill, Histon; High St; The Green; B1049; A1307; Girton Rd, Girton; Cambridge Rd; High St; Oakington Rd; Oakington Rd, Oakington; New Rd; New Rd, Histon; Park Ln & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 27/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27/10 & 31/10/25. 

West Street, Comberton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1635 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along West Street, Comberton as lies between Nos 39 & 53. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1046; A603; A1198; B1046 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 27/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27/10 & 29/10/25. 

Twentypence Road, Cottenham Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1636 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Twentypence Road, Cottenham as lies between Fairway & Willow Acre. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1049; A1123; A10; A14; B1049 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate fire hydrant repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 22/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 21/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 22/10 & 24/10/25. 

Newmarket Road, Cambridge Temporary Suspension Of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-1638 
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane as lies between Ditton Walk & Leeland Gardens. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area D (Consolidation) Order 1993; Schedule 23 Cycle Lanes Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle lane; Newmarket Road on the southern side of the carriageway from its junction with Barnwell Road to its junction with Coldhams Lane; Newmarket Road on the northern side of the carriageway from its junction with Garlic Row to its junction with Wadloes Road is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 29/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 28/4/27 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Newmarket Road, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 29/10 & 31/10/25. 

Fendon Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1639 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fendon Rd, Cambridge as lies between Queen Edith’s Way & Hills Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Queen Ediths Way, Cambridge; Limekiln Rd; Cherry Hinton Rd, Great Shelford; Babraham Rd; Babraham Rd, Cambridge; Hills Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway improvements & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs & 06:00hrs 13/10 to 17/10/25. 

Kingston Road, Great Eversden Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1648 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Kingston Road, Great Eversden as lies between Fox Farm & Armshold Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via High St, Great Eversden; Church St; Harlton Rd; Harlton Rd, Little Eversden; A603; Comberton Rd; Royston Lane, Comberton; South St; B1046; Church Ln, Kingston; The Green; Tinkers Ln; Kingston Rd, Great Eversden & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water supply disconnection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 7/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 7/10 & 9/10/25. 

Clayhithe Road, Waterbeach Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1650 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Clayhithe Road, Waterbeach as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via Clayhithe Rd; Clayhithe Rd, Horningsea; High St; Horningsea Rd C210; B1047; A1303; A1134; A1309; A10; Car Dyke Rd, Waterbeach; Cambridge Rd C210; Chapel St; Station Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 17/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 16/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 23:00hrs & 06:00hrs 17/10 to 20/10/25. 

Park Street, Dry Drayton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1669 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Park Street, Dry Drayton as lies between Nos. 11 & 25; Nos.27 & 31 respectively. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications duct installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 27/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs on 27/10 & 4/11/25. 

Footpath Park Street, Dry Drayton Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-1670 
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Footpath Park Street, Dry Drayton as lies between Nos. 25 & 27. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications duct installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 27/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/4/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 27/10 to 4/11/25. 

Mill Road, Fen Drayton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1671 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mill Road, Fen Drayton as lies between Nos 1 & 4. The alternative route for vehicles is via Mill Rd, Fen Drayton; Huntingdon Rd; A1307; Cambridge Rd; Honey Hill; Horse & Gate St; High St C185; Cootes Ln or Mill Rd, Fen Drayton; Cootes Ln; High St C185; Horse & Gate St; Honey Hill; Cambridge Rd; A1307; Conington Rd C181, Fenstanton; Cambridge Rd C185 respectively. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/10 & 8/10/25. 

Little Wilbraham Road, Stow-Cum-Quy Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1680 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Little Wilbraham Road, Stow-Cum-Quy as lies between A1303 & Primrose Farm Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A1303; Wilbraham Rd, Bottisham; Bottisham Rd, Little Wilbraham & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gully jetting, drainage repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 27/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27/10 & 31/10/25. 

Caxton Road, Bourn Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1682 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Caxton Road, Bourn as lies between Bourn Lodge & Thatched Cottage. The alternative route for vehicles is via Alms Hill, Bourn; High St; Gills Hill; Fox Rd; B1046; A1198; Royston Rd, Caxton; Bourn Rd; Caxton Rd, Bourn & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 31/3/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1/10 & 3/10/25. 

Girton Footpath 5, Girton Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-1699 
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Girton Footpath 5, Girton as lies between M11 J14 & A1307. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate maintenance of verges, VRS, lighting, drainage & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 31/3/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 1/10/25 & 31/3/26. 

Park Lane & Harding Way, Histon Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1726 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Park Lane & Harding Way, Histon as lies between Harding Way & Park Avenue; No.8 & Park Lane respectively. The alternative route for vehicles is via Park Ln, Histon; New Rd; New Rd, Oakington; Cambridge Rd; Water Ln; Station Rd; Oakington Rd, Westwick; Oakington Rd, Cottenham; Rampton Rd; B1049; The Green, Histon; High St; School Hill & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications duct & box installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 27/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27/10 & 7/11/25. 

Hills Road, Cambridge Temporary Suspension of Cycle Lane – Order 2025-1734 
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane as lies between Cavendish Avenue & Hills Avenue. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area G (Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 23 Cycle Lanes Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle lane; Hills Road on its west side from its junction with Long Road to a point 38 metres north of its junction with Purbeck Road; Hills Road on its east side from a point 57 metres north of its junction with Elsworth Place to a point 100 metres north of its junction with Queen Edith’s Way is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection, disconnection & associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane & it will come into operation on 6/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/4/27 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Hills Road, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/10 & 10/10/25. 

Boxworth End, Swavesey Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1739 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Boxworth End, Swavesey as lies between Access Rd To 116 To 126 Middle Watch & Ramper Rd. The alternative route for vehicles is via Boxworth End, Swavesey; Rose & Crown Rd; Fen Drayton Rd; School Ln; Middle Watch & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications duct installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs on 13/10 & 17/10/25. 

Clay Close Lane, Impington Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1740 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Clay Close Lane, Impington as lies between Nos. 1 & 11. The alternative route for vehicles is via Burgoynes Rd, Impington; Clay Cl Ln & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications duct installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 15/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 14/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs on 15/10 & 17/10/25. 

Harlton Road, Little Eversden Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1741 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Harlton Rd, Little Eversden as lies between High Street & Cambridge Rd. The alternative route for vehicles is via A603; B1046; Church Ln, Kingston; The Green; Tinkers Ln; Kingston Rd, Great Eversden; High St; Church St; Harlton Rd; Harlton Rd, Little Eversden & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate laying new water main & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 27/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27/10 & 21/12/25. 

Washpit Lane, Harlton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1742 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Washpit Lane, Harlton as lies between High Street & Cambridge Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via Eversden Rd, Harlton; A603 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate laying new water main & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/10 & 2/11/25. 

Elizabeth Way, Cambridge Temporary Suspension Of Bus Lane – Order 2025-1753 
Will be to temporarily suspend the bus lane as lies between No. 75 & Cutter Ferry Close. During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 72) Order 1999; Schedule 21 Bus/Cycle lane Part 4 roads & parts of roads on which any vehicle other than a pedal cycle or bus or taxi is prohibited at all times on all days. Elizabeth Way on the western side of the carriageway from a point 50 metres north of its junction with Newmarket Road northwards to its junction with Cutter Ferry Close is hereby suspended. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage clearance & associated works which are being carried out on or near the bus lane & it will come into operation on 29/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 28/3/27 whichever is the earlier. This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Elizabeth Way, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs & 15:30hrs between 29/9 & 1/10/25. 

Park Lane, Dry Drayton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1758 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Park Lane, Dry Drayton as lies between Madingley Rd & Oakington Rd. The alternative route for vehicles is via Park Street C193, Dry Drayton; Madingley Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications duct installation & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 20/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 19/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs 20/10 to 24/10/25. 

Devonshire Road, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1759 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Devonshire Road, Cambridge as lies between Nos.23 & 27. The alternative route for vehicles is via Devonshire Rd; Mill Rd; Tenison Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6/10 & 31/10/25. 

Woodhouse Way, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1763 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Woodhouse Way, Cambridge as lies between Nos. 11 & 21. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 18:00hrs on 13/10/25. 

Cherry Hinton Road C235, Cambridge Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1764 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cherry Hinton Rd C235, Cambridge as lies between Hills Rd & Clifton Rd. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cherry Hinton Rd C235; A1134; A1307 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway lining, verge repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 21:00hrs & 05:00hrs 13/10 to 14/10/25. 

High Street, West Wratting Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1766 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, West Wratting as lies between Bull Lane & The Causeway. The alternative route for vehicles is via High St, West Wratting; The Common; Burton End; Burton End, West Wickham; High St; High St Southern Spur; Balsham Rd; West Wickham Rd, Balsham; B1052 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate laying new water main & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13/10 & 19/10/25. 

Cambridge Road, Milton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1793 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cambridge Rd, Milton as lies between Benet Close & Coles Rd. The alternative route for vehicles is via Cambridge Rd, Milton; Milton Rd Roundabout; A10; Ely Rd C282; High St C282 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new water connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 27/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 26/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27/10 & 31/10/25. 

Cambourne Footpath 1, Cambourne Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-1795 
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Cambourne Footpath 1, Cambourne as lies between Cambourne Bridleway 2 & Caxton Footpath 4, Caxton. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main diversion & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 12/4/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13/10 & 24/10/25. 

Cambourne Footpath 3, Cambourne Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-1798 
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Cambourne Footpath 3, Cambourne as lies between Broadway, Bourn & Gladiator Rd, Cambourne. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate protection of Grade II listed building & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 25/9/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 24/3/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 25/9/25 & 1/1/26. 

High Street B1052, Linton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-1802 
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street B1052, Linton as lies between Coles Lane & Balsham Rd. The alternative route for vehicles is via High St, Linton; Bartlow Rd; A1307; B1052 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage clearance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 26/10/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 25/4/27 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs & 12:30hrs between 26/10 & 31/10/25. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The Order shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
