Clarence Street - Introduce a Road Closure to Carry Out Repairs to the Apartment Buildings

What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (CLARENCE STREET) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025.

The Order will introduce a road closure of Clarence Street, starting from outside Empyrean Apartment Block 5 to the junction of Whitsun Avenue, Salford, M7 1BS. The Order is necessary to carry out repairs to the apartment buildings. The order is due to come into operation on Monday 27th October 2025 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by 14th November 2025. The diversion routes are via Great Clowes Street - Broughton Lane - Lord Street - Whitsun Avenue, vice versa.
