(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C120 Ulgham Grange Junction to Hagg House Junction for a distance of 73 metres across the level crossing in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 7th October 2025 until the 9th October 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed between the hours of 23:55 and 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 9th October 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C120, B1337, C118, A1068, C120 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Chevron TM to lift out the level crossing to allow PL tamper to work through the area. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
C178 ROAD NORTH THROPTON TO BLUE CHIRNELLS
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C178 Road North Thropton to Blue Chirnells from its junction with the C176 heading in a northerly direction for a length of 210 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th October 2025 until the 13th April 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th October 2025 until the 18th October 2025 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 13th April 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C176, C172, C90, C178 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of roads in the County of Northumberland:
• A696 West Road Ponteland from its junction with Darras Road for a distance 100 metres in a westerly direction.
• A696 Main Street Ponteland for its entire length.
• A696 Ponteland Road Ponteland from its intersection with A696 Main Street for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction.
• C348 Darras Road Ponteland from its junction with A696 Main Street for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction.
• C358 North Road Ponteland from its junction with A696 Main Street for a distance of 20 metres in a north-westerly direction.
• B6323 Callerton Lane Ponteland from its junction with A696 Main Street for a distance of 20 metres in a southerly direction.
The Order is to be effective from the 6th October 2025 until the 6th April 2026.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 6th October 2025 until the 11th October 2025 between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 6th April 2026.
Alternative routes will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being:
To the west via A696, B6342, A68, A69, B6323, B6545, A696 and vice versa. To the north via C358, C356, C101, C154, C354, A696 and vice versa. From C348 Darras Road via C348 in a south-westerly direction, U9082 and vice versa. From B6323 Callerton Lane via B6323 in a south-westerly direction and vice versa. Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make the above-named Order under Sections 81 to 84 and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order, if made, will be to introduce a 20 miles per hour speed restriction on the following lengths of highways in the County of Northumberland:-

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C136 Hesleyhurst Junction to Longhorsley from its point at the entrance to High Stables for a distance of 679 metres in an easterly direction in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 22nd September 2025 until the 22nd March 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 22nd September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until the 22nd March 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C136, C141, C142, C144, A197, A1, A697, C136 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

C90 GARMINTEDGE BANK TO BRIDGE OF ALN
WHITTINGHAM
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C90 Garmintedge Bank to Bridge of Aln Whittingham from its junction with the A697 heading in an easterly direction for a length of 513 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 22nd September 2025 until the 7th October 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 22nd September 2025 until the 23rd September 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 7th October 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being A697,B6341, C90 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1) ACKLINGTON
C102 ACKLINGTON JUNCTION TO GUYZANCE LEE JUNCTION
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C102 Acklington Junction to Guyzance Lee Junction Acklington for a distance of 117 metres in a westerly direction from its junction with the B6345 continuing on for a further 170 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 22nd September 2025 until the 21st March 2026.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 22nd September 2025 until the 26th September 2025 and that it will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 21st March 2026.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being B6345, C102, U3040 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council (“the Council”), in exercise of its powers as the local traffic authority under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and all other enabling powers, has made on the 10th September 2025 the Northumberland County Council (Run Northumberland Castles Half Marathon 2025) Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2025 (“the TTRO”).
The Council has made the TTRO for the purposes of facilitating the holding of Run Northumberland Castles Half Marathon 2025 (“the Event”) by restricting traffic on the following roads:
• The B1340 Links Road from outside Bamburgh car park heading in a northerly direction for a length of 964 metres, the B3140 Front Street from it’s point with Links Road heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 367 metres, the B1341 Lucker Road from it’s point with Front Street heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 176 metres and the B1340 Adderstone Hall to Lucker Road from it’s point with Lucker Road heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 2,820 metres (“Road One”);
• The C63 Newham Hall junction to Bradford Kaims junction from it’s junction with Adderstone Hall to Lucker Road heading in a southerly direction for it’s entirety (“Road Two”);
• The C65 Rayheugh junction to Norther Sunderland junction from it’s junction with Newham Hall junction to Braford Kaims junction heading in an easterly direction for a length of 404 metres (“Road Three”);
• The C66 West Flettham to Newham Hall junction from it’s junction with Rayheugh junction to North Sunderland junction heading in a south easterly direction for a length of 1,892 metres (“Road Four”);
• The C68 West Fleetham to Main Street from it’s junction with West Fleetham to Newham Hall junction heading in a northerly direction for it’s entirety, the C68 Main Street from it’s point with West Fleetham to Main Street heading in an easterly direction for a length of 531 metres and the C65 Rayheugh junction to North Sunderland junction from it’s junction with Main Street heading in a westerly direction for a length of 2,672 metres (“Road Five”); and
• The U2009 Elford junction to Budle Bay junction from it’s junction with Rayheugh junction to North Sunderland junction heading in a northerly direction for a length o 1,755 metres and the C64 Ingram Lane from it’s junction with the U2009 heading in a northerly direction for a length of 2,653 metres (“Road Six”).
“Road One, Road Two, Road Three, Road Four, Road Five and Road Six” shall together be known as “the Road”.
The TTRO shall come into force at the following times, subject to the provisions of section 16B of the Act:
• In respect of Road One, between 9:15 hours on the 19th October 2025 and will remain in force until 10:15 hours on the 19th October 2025;
• In respect of Road Two between 9:15 hours on the 19th October 2025 and will remain in force until 10:45 hours on the 19th October 2025;
• In respect of Road Three between 9:15 hours on the 19th October 2025 and will remain in force until 11:00 hours on the 19th October 2025;
• In respect of Road Four between 9:15 hours on the 19th October 2025 and will remain in force until 11:15 hours on the 19th October 2025;
• In respect of Road Five between 9:15 hours on the 19th October 2025 and will remain in force until 12:10 hours on the 19th October 2025; and
• In respect of Road Six between 9:15 hours on the 19th October 2025 and will remain in force until 12:30 hours on the 19th October 2025.
There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.
All restrictions on the Road will be sign-posted and staffed and will remain in force only for as long as is necessary.
Nothing in the TTRO shall apply to:
a. Any activities taking place on the Road related to the organisation and holding of the Event;
b. Anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police officer or a Duly Authorised Officer of the Council.
c. Any vehicle being used by, or for the purposes of, the emergency services;
d. Any vehicle being used by or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker (e.g. the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which requires vehicles to be brought onto the Road); or
e. Pedestrian access to any premises adjoining the Road.

U4072 PHYSIC LANE THROPTON
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in accordance with Regulation 7 of The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 in that the following restrictions have continued to be in force on the U4072 Physic Lane Thropton in the County of Northumberland.
Temporary Road Closure:-
A temporary road closure has continued to be in force and all users are prohibited to use the following road in Thropton in the County of Northumberland.
• U4072 Physic Lane Thropton for its entire length in the County of Northumberland.
There is no alternative route available for vehicular traffic whilst this Order is in force.
This Order came into force on the 10th September 2025 and will remain in force until the 26th September 2025. The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water to repair and fix a leak on the water main.
