Blackfriars Street - Introduce Cycle Lane Closures and Suspensions

What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (BLACKFRIARS STREET CYCLE TRACKS) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025.

The Order will introduce cycle lane closures and suspensions (northbound and southbound) on Blackfriars Street, Salford. 

The Order is necessary for essential works to be done. The order is due to come into operation on Tuesday 14th October 2025 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Monday 3rd November 2025.
