Crancombe Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Woolavington Temporary Closure of Crancombe Lane

Somerset Council in exercise of Its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Crancombe Lane - from the junction with Higher Road, southwards for a total distance of 182 metres. This Order will enable Wales & West Utilities to lay new gas service.

The Order becomes effective on 30th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 7th October 2025 and last until 10th October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 4 days.
