What is happening?
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make the following Orders under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. The works will be completed within the period of the Orders. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders are being enforced for public safety.
COSTON ROAD, SPROXTON
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC
It is expected that the Order will come into force on 13/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 1 week. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 5 days to allow National Grid to undertake work to provide a new service connection. The proposed diversion route will be via: Coston Rd, Buckminster Rd, Sproxton; Sproxton Rd, Coston Rd B676, Buckminster; Sproxton Rd, Coston; Coston Rd, Sproxton & vice versa.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 13/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 21 days. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 21 days to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake highway drainage repair works.

The proposed diversion route will be via: New Rd, Melton Rd A606, Cross Ln & vice versa.

It is expected that the Order will come into force on 18/10/2025 and have a maximum duration of 2 months. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to 21 days to allow National Grid to undertake supply reinforcement works in the highway. The proposed diversion route will be via: Rearsby Ln, Nether End, Ashby Rd Gaddesby; Ashby Rd, South Croxton Rd, Barsby; South Croxton Rd, Main St, Queniborough Rd, Rearsby Rd, Queniborough; Rearsby Bypass A607, Gaddesby Ln, Rearsby; Rearsby Ln, Gaddesby & vice versa. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
