East Brent, Temporary Road Closure Due To Duct Laying Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of East Brent Temporary Closure of Brent Road

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Brent Road - from the junction with Hill Lane to the junction with Church Road. A total distance of 294 metres. This Order will enable Dunmore SW to lay duct in carriageway on behalf of Openreach.

The Order becomes effective on 30th September 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 7th October 2025 and last until 9th October 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 3 days.
