ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF GODSTONE ROAD MOORGATE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Godstone Road at its junction with A618 Moorgate Road from Monday 22nd. September until Friday 24th. October 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Godstone Road, Tooker Road, Gerard Road, A618 Moorgate Road, and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Wall repairs at the junction of A618 Moorgate Road and Godstone Road).

CORPORATION STREET EASTERN FOOTWAY ROTHERHAM TOWN CENTRE

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along Corporation Street eastern footway from Saturday 20th. September 2025 until Wednesday 18th. March 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians is via the footways adjacent to Upper Millgate, Church Street, Market Street and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF HAGUE LANE WENTWORTH ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Hague Lane from its junction with Cortworth Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a southerly direction from Monday 22nd. September until Friday 17th. October 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Main Street, Barrow Hill, Dike Hill, Harley Road, Sheffield Road, Kirby Lane, Barnsley Road, Chapelfield Road, Wentworth Road, Hague Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (pipe installation).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.8 CATCLIFFE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath No.8 Catcliffe commencing from Poplar Way and proceeding in a southerly direction for a distance of 290m from Monday 29th. September 2025 for a period of 6 months.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians affected by the Order will be via the footways adjacent to adopted highways.

Reason for the prohibition – because of the likelihood of danger to the Public (Excavation works).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF WENSLEYDALE ROAD FOOTPATH WINGFIELD ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Wensleydale Road Footpath at the subway/underpass of Roughwood Road approximately 58m east of property no.521 Roughwood Road from Monday 22nd. September until Friday 26th. September 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians affected by the Order will be via the footways adjacent to Lapwater Walk, Lapwater Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Subway closure for maintenance).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF DONCASTER PLACE EAST DENE ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Doncaster Place from a point approximately 50m southeast of its junction with Doncaster Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction on Tuesday 23rd. September 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (water pressure investigation).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) AND 14(7)

GRANGE LANE THORPE HESLEY AND

DROPPINGWELL ROAD KIMBERWORTH ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT LIMIT RESTRICTION)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to:

1.    Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Grange Lane from a point mid way under the M1 overpass for a distance of approximately 200m in a northerly direction on Tuesday 23rd. September 2025.

       NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Grange Lane, Upper Wortley Road, Droppingwell Road, New Droppingwell Road, Grange Mill Lane and vice versa.

2.    Temporarily suspend the 7.5 tonne weight limit restriction along Droppingwell Road to allow vehicles diverted off Grange Lane On Tuesday 23rd. September 2025.

The reason for the prohibition and temporary suspension of 7.5 tonne weight limit restriction is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (vegetation removal around HV lines).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PARTS OF RIVERSIDE WALK FOOTPATH ROTHERHAM TOWN CENTRE

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along the parts of Riverside Walk specified in the Schedule to this notice from Wednesday 1st. October 2025 until Tuesday 31st. March 2026.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for pedestrians will be via the footways adjacent to Corporation Street, Bridge Street and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Redevelopment works associated works with Corporation Street public realm).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Riverside Walk footpath from its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with the new footbridge crossing the River Don to the Forge Island complex.

(ii)   The unadopted footpath from its junction with the new footbridge crossing the River Don to the Forge Island complex to its junction with Corporation Street.
