Bolton, Temporary Public Footpath Closure Due To Underground Cabling Access

SECTION 14(1) THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH TURTON EGERTON 030) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO.102) ORDER 2025
The Borough Council of Bolton has made an Order, which will be operative from 14th October 2025, which will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath Turton Egerton 030 commencing from Briggs Fold Road point A at grid reference SD 71198 14705 in a generally north westerly direction to point B at grid reference SD 71115 14818; as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1Teg030 over a total distance of approximately 145 metres.
An alternative route will be available commencing from Briggs Fold Road point A at grid reference SD 71198 14705 then Little Moor Clough, public footpath Teg029, Teg030 to point B at grid reference SD 71115 14818. The Order is necessary to facilitate access to underground structure for underground cabling and will continue for a period of 1 day or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
