(Chichester: Half Marathon)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice WSCC intend to make an Order under Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the following lengths of roads:-
Westgate –from Sherborne Road roundabout to Westgate roundabout; Avenue de Chartres – from the A259 roundabout to Westgate roundabout; Orchard Street – from Northgate roundabout to Westgate roundabout; West Street – from Westgate roundabout to South Street; Priory Road – from New Park Road to Priory Lane; Oaklands Way – westbound, from New Park roundabout to Northgate gyratory; Oaklands Way – eastbound, from Northgate gyratory to New Park Road roundabout: Sherborne Road – from Westgate Road roundabout to Cathedral Way; New Road (Lavant Straight) – westbound, from Goodwood Motor Circuit emergency access to Lower Road. The Order is necessary to facilitate the holding of the Chichester Half Marathon 2025.
The above-mentioned roads form the route to be taken by the competitors and will be closed for short periods of time on a rolling basis, starting with Westgate.
Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained.
The Order will be operative on 5 October 2025 from 0900 hours to 1300 hours.
The police will advise drivers of suitable alternative routes where necessary.

(Bognor Regis: Ash Grove to Holly Court Footpath)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the footpath from Ash Grove to Holly Court in Bognor Regis, from its junction with Ashgrove, westwards for 25M.
The closure of this route is needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 6 October 2025 and remain in force until 24 October 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for pedestrians will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Chichester: Clydesdale Avenue)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close Clydesdale Avenue outside No. 2. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst water pipe repair works are undertaken. The Order will come into effect on 6 October 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on or after 6 October 2025 and will take 2 weeks to complete.

(Boxgrove, Lavant & Westhampnett: Goodwood Classic Japfest 2025)
(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-
(i) Require all vehicles to travel at a speed not exceeding
30MPH on: Claypit Lane, from New Road to Madgwick Lane; Madgwick Lane, from Claypit Lane to Old Place Lane; New Road, from Fordwater Road to Westerton Lane; Kennel Hill Road, from New Road to Park Road; and
(ii) Prohibit vehicles from making a right turn from Goodwood Motor Circuit Gate 1 onto Claypit Lane; from making a right turn from Claypit Lane into Goodwood Motor Circuit Gate 1.
This Order is necessary to protect public safety and manage safe access and egress for vehicles and pedestrians attending the Classic Japfest motor event at Goodwood.
The Order will come into operation at 0900hours on 3 October
2025 and will remain in force until 1800hours on 6 October 2025. The prohibited manoeuvres will be in place between 0700hours and 1400hours on 4, 5 and 6 October 2025.

(Linchmere: Public Footpath No. 1242)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 1242 Linchmere, from its western end at its junction with Public Bridleway No. 1221 (487990,131220), eastwards to its junction with Marley Lane (488709,131119), a distance of approximately 750M.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst electric cabling works are undertaken. Unfortunately, there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network. The Order will come into effect on 22 September 2025 and will last for 6 months or until the Public Footpath is safe to reopen whichever is sooner.

(Chichester: A286 Stockbridge Road)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close the A286 at the railway level crossing.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst highway junction and traffic signalling improvement works are undertaken. The Order will come into effect on 22 September 2025 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated works will commence on or after 22 September 2025 and will take 7 weeks to complete.

(Yapton and Barnham & Eastergate:
Public Footpath YAP 158 and BAR 158)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close the route formed by public footpaths YAP 158 and BAR 158 in the parishes of Yapton and Barnham & Eastergate, from its junction with Drove Lane westwards and northwards to its junction with Public Footpath BAR 200_1. The closure of this route is needed due to the unsafe condition of a footbridge. The Order continues the effect of an emergency closure notice and will come into effect on 18 September 2025. The Order will remain in force for 6 months or until remedial works are completed, whichever is earlier.
Unfortunately, during the operative period of this Order, no alternative route is available via the public rights of way network. Any queries about the effect of the Order on traffic using the highway should be directed to the WSCC Public Rights of Way Team, telephone number 01243 777620.
(Felpham: Limmer Lane and Adjoining Roads)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close roads in Felpham as follows:
LIMMER LANE from Tryndel Way to Summerley Lane; SUMMERLEY LANE from Limmer Lane northwards for 50M; SOUTHVIEW ROAD from Limmer Lane southwards for 25M. These road closures are needed to allow gas mains to be replaced in safety.
The Order will come into effect on 22 September 2025 and remain in force until 20 October 2025. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times. (Fishbourne: Public Footpath No. 3059)
(Temporary Closure) Order 2022
NOTICE is hereby given that the Order made by WSCC under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which came into force on 24 March 2022, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, will now continue in force until 23 September 2026. The Order is necessary to protect public safety as a section of the sea wall over which the footpath passes has been washed out by the sea. The sea wall is not repairable and so a planning application is under consideration for a project to realign the coastal margin, to include a new coastal path. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 3059 Fishbourne, from its northern end at its junction with Public Footpath No.555 (SU840041), running south-westwards and then south-eastwards to its other junction with Public Footpath No. 555 (SU839038), a total distance of approximately 425M. Public Footpath No. 555 is a short distance away to use as an alternative to the coastal route.

(Bersted and Aldingbourne) (Shripney Road (A29):
Restricted Road and 30 MPH Speed Limit)
(Shripney Lane: 20 MPH Speed Limit) and
(Various Roads: Speed Limit Consolidation) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 30 MPH speed limit on Shripney Road (A29) in Bersted from a point 200M south of its junction with Shripney
Lane, northwards to a point 270M south of its junction with
Sack Lane. The Order also introduces a 20 MPH Speed limit on Shripney Lane in Bersted from its junction with Shripney Road (A29) westwards for 660M.
