Sawley Road, Breaston - Temporary Road Closure to Facilitate Network Rail's Asset Inspection
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
SAWLEY ROAD, BREASTON
WHEN: 04 October to 05 October 2025 (23:59 to 08:30).
WHERE: Sawley Road, Breaston at the level crossing.
REASON: To facilitate Network Rail's asset inspection.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Sawley Road, Wilsthorpe Road, Main Street, The Green, Draycott Road, Station Road, Wilne Lane, and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished.
This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
