Bolton, Temporary Footpath Closure Due To Sewer Installation Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) THE BOLTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH WESTHOUGHTON 091) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) (NO. ) ORDER 2025
The Borough Council of Bolton intends to make an Order not less than seven days from the date of this Notice.
The effect which will be operative from 25th September 2025 and will prohibit all pedestrian traffic from using Public Footpath Westhoughton 091 commencing from point A at grid reference SD 64592 05800 in a generally northeast by north direction to point B at grid reference SD 64645 05884; as shown by the bold black line on the Order plan 1Wes091 over a total distance of approximately 98 metres.
An alternative route will be available commencing from point A at grid reference SD 64592 05800 then public footpath Wes091, Wes094, Wes093 to point B at grid reference SD 64645 05884. The Order is necessary to facilitate works associated with the laying of sewers and will continue for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed whichever is the earlier.
