Baytree Lane, Middleton - Temporary Prohibition of Vehicles to Facilitate a Structural Examination of the Railway Bridge

What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(BAYTREE LANE, MIDDLETON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2025 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Baytree Lane from a point 30m south east of its junction with Fern Close for a distance of 70m in a south easterly direction. The Order is required to facilitate a structural examination of the Railway Bridge. 

The Order will be operative from 08.00 hours until 16.00 hours each day from the 15th October 2025 until 16th October 2025. The alternative route for vehicles will be via Baytree Lane, Mills Hill Road, Oldham Road and vice-versa.
