NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has recently made a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to enact the recently installed restriction prohibiting waiting at any time on lengths both sides of South Farm Road in Worthing between its junction with Ardsheal Close and Ardsheal Road. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 22 September 2025, together with plans showing the affected lengths of road may be viewed on the WSCC website. People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from 18 September 2025, apply to the High Court for this purpose.                                  Ref: WOR8033-MM

Littlehampton: Main Avenue Pedestrian Crossing Place NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to make a permanent Traffic regulation Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce 20 MPH speed limits throughout the entire lengths of the following roads in Littlehampton, all of which are new roads under construction as part of the Hampton Park development: Anderson Way, Betterton Mead, Fawcett Grove, Flaxman Acre, Henson Road, Kenny Drive, Lake Copse Main Avenue, Marion Mead, Marshall Drive, Merridue Grove, Neal Crescent, Pethic Road, Redwood Grove, Simpson Close, Thomas Mews, Vincent Gardens, Wadham Chase and Wells Close.

NOTICE is also given that it is proposed to install a new traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing on Main Avenue within the new development. The new crossing would be located between a new community centre and school being constructed within the development. Full details of the proposals in this notice can be viewed on the Traffic Regulation Order page of the WSCC website. The website includes a response form for any comments or objections.

People without access to a computer who wish to view details of the scheme should telephone the WSCC Contact Centre on 01243 642105 to receive the documents by post. Any comments or objections about the proposal must be received before 9 October 2025. These may be submitted via the response form on the website mentioned above, by e-mail to tro.consultation@ westsussex.gov.uk or in writing to TRO Team, WSCC, The Grange, Tower Street, Chichester, PO19 1RH. For legal reasons, only correspondence including a full name and address will be considered. Please quote reference ARN9010-MM in all correspondence.
