California, Winlaton - Temporary Traffic Regulation Order For Infrastructure Works Of Northumbria Water
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD
(CALIFORNIA, WINLATON) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that on 17 September 2025 the Borough Council of Gateshead made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along California from the junction with Half Fields Road extending in a westerly direction for a distance of 188 metres. The Order is required to facilitate infrastructure works of Northumbria Water. The Order will come into force on 22 September 2025. The maximum duration of the Order will be 18 months; however, the works are expected to be completed by 26 September 2025. During the works all vehicles (except vehicles associated with the works and emergency service vehicles on duty and limited access for residents within immediate area) will be prohibited from proceeding along the above road until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. During the prohibition there will be a signed diversion in place.
