Suffolk, Multiple Roads, Temporary Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2709 NORTH GREEN, KELSAL CUM CARLTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2709 North Green, Kelsale Cum Carlton from the rail track for 20 metres eastbound and 20 metres westbound to facilitate manoeuvre of rail vehicle onto the track. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Town Farm Lane, the A12, Yoxford Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 11.30pm on 13/09/2025 – 8.30am on 14/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2233 PACKARD AVENUE, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2233 Packard Avenue, Ipswich from no. 14 for 30 metres north westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Rands Circle, Rands Way, Nansen Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/09/2025 – 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE F2824 FOOTWAY FROM NO. 36 PARKESTON ROAD TO NO. 21 SHOTLEY CLOSE, FELIXSTOWE
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the F2824 Footway from no. 36 Parkeston Road to no. 21 Shotley Close, Felixstowe from the junction with Shotley Close for 10 metres south eastbound to facilitate stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Parkeston Road, Shotley Close and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/09/2025 – 26/09/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
