Hardisty Hill to Kex Gill Road - Temporary Speed Limit From 60mph to 30mph

What is happening?

North Yorkshire Council, Temporary Speed Limit From 60mph to
30mph, Hardisty Hill to Kex Gill Road, Blubberhouses, Order 2025 No
321 We have made this Order to for speed reduction from 60mph to 30mph.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along A59 Kex Gill,
Blubberhouses from the junction of Hardisty Hill to a point 1.36km in a
Westerly direction at a speed exceeding 30mph due to construction of new
A59. It is envisaged that the restriction will be in force from 23/09/25 until
26/06/26 inclusive, however the max duration of this Order will be for 18
months until 26/03/27. The speed restriction will only apply as indicated by
the placing of traffic signs & a local alternative route will also be signed on

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Harper Lane, Thornthwaite, Order
2025, No. 327 We have made this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using
Harper Lane, Thornthwaite for a temporary period (subject to access to
premises) between 25/09/25 & 08/10/25, due to bridge improvement works.
However, the max duration of this Order is until 25/10/25. The closure
period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be

Prohibition of Waiting & Loading & Provision of Parking, Borrage
Lane & King Street, Ripon, No 44, Order 2025 Notice is hereby
given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order
under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) & 35(1) of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) & Part IV of Schedule 9
to the 1984 Act & under the Traffic Management Act 2004 (“the 2004
Act”) by introducing the restrictions specified in the table below:-
Table - Waiting Prohibited At All Times With Exemptions Borrage
Lane, Ripon (U3047/2/70), From where the Northern Kerb Line
intersects with Low Skellgate to a point 29m away in a South
Westerly Direction, following the Northern kerb Line. Borrage Lane,
Ripon (U3047/2/70), From where the Southern Kerb Line intersects
with Low Skellgate to a point 16m away in a South Westerly
Direction, following the Southern kerb Line. King Street, Ripon
(C377/2/20), From a point 9m North of the Centre Line of Waterside
along the Eastern Kerb line of King Street for a distance of 63m in a
Northerly Direction. King Street, Ripon (C377/2/20), From a point 9m
North of the Centre Line of Waterside along the Western Kerb line of
King Street for a distance of 59m in a Northerly Direction. A copy of
the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a
statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order
may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Ripon Library,
The Arcade, Ripon, North Yorkshire, HG4 1AG during normal office
hours from 18/09/25 to 10/10/25 & also viewed online at

to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your
