Wallbridge - Temporary Road Closure To Refurbishment Works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Wallbridge

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Wallbridge - from the junction with Great Western Street to the junction with The Retreat. A total distance of 27 metres.

This Order will enable Morgan Sindall to carry out refurbishment works on behalf of Network Rail.

The Order becomes effective on 2nd October 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 6th October 2025 and last until 27th November 2025 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 53 days.
