A5 Trunk Road (Little Brickhill Interchange, Buckinghamshire) Southbound Exit Slip Road - Temporary Closure

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –SECTION 14(1)(A) AND (7)

THE A5 TRUNK ROAD (LITTLE BRICKHILL INTERCHANGE, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE) SOUTHBOUND EXIT SLIP ROAD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A5 Trunk Road in the County of Buckinghamshire to enable safety improvement works, sign replacements, resurfacing and carriageway realignment works to be carried  out in safety.

The works are expected to take place for  24 hours daily, over approximately 3 weeks, starting on, or after Monday 29 September 2025.

The effect of the Order will be to close the  A5 southbound exit slip road at Little Brickhill Interchange.

Traffic will be diverted to continue on the A5 southbound to Sheep Lane Roundabout, known locally as the Flying Fox Roundabout, then via the A5 Northbound and Watling Street to continue their journey.

The closure (which will not apply to emergency service, traffic officer, works or winter maintenance vehicles) and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

The Order will come into force on 22 September 2025 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months, whichever is the earlier.
